Olympia Center

Height to roof: 221 meters
Date built: 1986
Use: office / residential
Location: 161 East Chicago Avenue
Architects: Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP

This is a solid metal souvenir replica of the Olympia Center of Chicago. The height measures 4.1". The base is 1.3" x 1.0" On the front, the base reads in raised lettering, "Olympia Center". On the right side, "221 M". On the back, "Chicago". And left side, "1986"

Olympia Center is the tallest mid-block building in Chicago. The tower slopes in the middle to make the office floors wider than the residential floors. Windows of many different sizes form a strange pattern on the façade, which is often compared to a jacket with a zipper down the middle.

Note: This replica is in the new standard scale
